Your club has invited you to join them on Dyno. The invite email has a button that opens the app and fills in the details your club already has. It takes a couple of minutes.

Your email address stays fixed to the invite while you sign up. If you would like to use a different one, finish signing up first, then change it in Settings.

If your club has set up a membership for you, you will see **You've been offered a membership**. Tap **Continue** to review it and finish joining, or **Skip for now** to come back to it later.

If your invite email says your membership is already paid for by your club, you will not be asked for payment.

If your club has added your children, the app may ask you to confirm them.

Tapped the link before installing the app?

Install the app, then go back to the email and tap **Join** again.

You can also open the app, tap **Create new account** and use the email address the invite was sent to. After you enter the code we email you, the app recognises your invite and shows your club's name. See [Download the Dyno app and sign in](/articles/member-signin).

Cannot find the invite? Check your spam folder, and make sure you use the exact email address your club has on file for you.

Open your club's invite email, create your account in the Dyno app and join your club.

Your club has invited you to join them on Dyno. The invite email has a button that opens the app and fills in the details your club already has. It takes a couple of minutes. Dyno: accepting your club invite Before you start Use the email address the invite was sent to. Your invite is linked to it. Install the app first. The invite email has App Store and Google Play buttons. Step by step Install the Dyno app from the App Store or Google Play. On your phone, open the invite email and tap the Join button with your club's name on it. The app opens on You've been invited! Tap Join to continue. On Confirm your details, check your name, date of birth and phone number. Tap Edit details to change anything, then tap Continue. On Set your login, choose a username and a password of at least 8 characters, and type the password again. Tap Check availability. When the username is available, tap Continue. On Where are you based?, type your town or city and tap Create account. Tap Continue on the welcome screen. Your email address stays fixed to the invite while you sign up. If you would like to use a different one, finish signing up first, then change it in Settings. What happens next If your club has set up a membership for you, you will see You've been offered a membership. Tap Continue to review it and finish joining, or Skip for now to come back to it later. If your invite email says your membership is already paid for by your club, you will not be asked for payment. If your club has added your children, the app may ask you to confirm them. Already have a Dyno account? On You've been invited!, tap Already have an account? Log in and sign in with the email address the invite was sent to. If you are already signed in when you tap the link, the app opens your feed and shows anything your club has prepared for you. If you try to sign up with an email that already has an account, the app tells you and shows a Log in button instead. Tapped the link before installing the app? Install the app, then go back to the email and tap Join again. You can also open the app, tap Create new account and use the email address the invite was sent to. After you enter the code we email you, the app recognises your invite and shows your club's name. See Download the Dyno app and sign in. Cannot find the invite? Accept your club invite

Children do not have their own Dyno account. You add them to yours, and then you book, pay and act for them. A child added this way appears on the class register so coaches know they are there, but has no login of their own.

The **Add child** button stays greyed out until the name, the date of birth and the consent tick are all filled in. Your consent is recorded against the child, with the wording you agreed to.

Get the date of birth right. It decides which memberships your child is old enough for and drives the protections on their account.

You can manage up to 20 children on one account.

Add a child while you are buying their membership

You do not have to set them up first. On the **Purchase Membership** screen you will see **Buying this for a child?** with an **Add a child** button. Tap it, fill in the same details and consent tick, and tap **Add child**. The new child is then picked as the recipient under **Who's this for?**, so the membership is bought for them and paid for by you.

If your club imported your family, you will be shown a sheet headed **Confirm your children** the next time you sign in. It lists each child your club staged, with their date of birth and the membership waiting for them.

For each child, tap their name to open it, then choose:

Confirming records the same parental consent: that you are their parent or guardian, that their account sits under yours, that you book, pay and act for them, and that the club records the relationship. Tap **Confirm 1 child** (or however many) to finish, or **Not now** to decide later. Nothing is added while you wait.

If you flag a child, they are not added and your club is asked to check the details. You cannot undo that from the app.

You can read this in the app at any time: **Settings**, **Family**, then **What can my child see and do on Dyno?**

When you have children on your account, the booking button on a class or event opens a **Who's attending?** list instead of booking you straight in. Tick yourself, your child, or both, and confirm. Once anyone in the family is booked, the button becomes **Manage booking**, and unticking someone cancels their place. See [Book a class or session](/articles/book-a-session).

Notifications about your child, including class reminders, come to you.

Everything a child does is paid for by you, off the card saved on your account. Your child never enters card details and never sees a payment screen.

When you buy passes, the app asks **Who is this pass for?** Passes are held per person: the pass lands on the child's account and they scan it themselves, while you pay for it. See [Buy and use a pass](/articles/buy-and-use-a-pass).

A child's memberships, including any waiting to be set up, are in **Settings**, then **Memberships**, in a section under their name. That is where you buy, check and cancel them. See [Manage your membership in the app](/articles/manage-your-membership-in-the-app).

**Settings**, **Family**, then their name shows their details, any courses they are enrolled on, and their progress at each club.

Emergency contact, medical notes and photo consent

Open the club, tap **My Membership**, find your child's section and tap **Welfare & consent**. You can view and update their emergency contact, medical notes and photo and media consent for that club.

They are removed from your family, and their booking and membership history is kept. You cannot undo it.

You cannot remove a child while they still have an active membership, because it is billed to your card. Cancel the membership first, or the app tells you to. If you are not sure, message your club before removing anyone.

Add a child you look after, consent on their behalf, book and pay for them, and see what their account can and cannot do.

Children do not have their own Dyno account. You add them to yours, and then you book, pay and act for them. A child added this way appears on the class register so coaches know they are there, but has no login of their own. Add a child Open the Profile tab and tap the menu icon at the top right, labelled Settings. Tap Family. Tap Add child. Enter their First name and Last name. Tap Select date of birth and pick their date of birth. There is no default: you have to choose it. Under Your relationship, choose Parent, Guardian, Carer or Other. Tick the box that says you confirm you are this child's parent or legal guardian and consent to their data being processed on their behalf. Tap Add child. The Add child button stays greyed out until the name, the date of birth and the consent tick are all filled in. Your consent is recorded against the child, with the wording you agreed to. Add a child to your account

Classes and events are booked from your club's page. One to one sessions with a coach are booked from that coach's profile. Everything you have booked shows up in one place afterwards.

If your club runs at more than one venue, tap a venue name at the top to see only what is on there. To make that your usual view, tap **Always start at** followed by the venue name. Tapping a venue only changes what you are looking at until you do that.

On the event, look at the button pinned to the bottom of the screen.

Once you are booked, the button becomes **Cancel Booking**, and a panel confirms your place. **Show my pass** opens the pass you scan at the club.

If the event has a price for you, the payment sheet opens when you book, in your club's name. Fill in your card and confirm.

Booking for more than one person shows you the whole bill first, on a sheet headed **These places need paying for**. Each place is then paid for separately, so you get one card sheet per person. Afterwards the app tells you where every person stands, including anyone who was not paid for.

Cancelling a paid booking frees your place but does not refund you automatically. If you think you are owed money back, ask your club.

You see **Cancelled** and a note that your booking has been cancelled.

If you see **Too late to cancel**, your club sets a cutoff before the start time and it has passed. Only the club can do anything after that, so contact them.

You are offered a place in the queue instead. A sheet says **This event is full**, and **Join waitlist** puts you on it.

Once you are on it, the app tells you your place in the queue, for example "You're number 3 in the queue", and books you in automatically if a place opens. The button on the event becomes **Leave waitlist**.

What happens next depends on how the coach takes payment:

Tapping **Done** takes you to **My Calendar**.

If your slot has just gone, the app tells you it was taken and clears your choice, so pick another. If the coach's prices or lengths have changed while you had the screen open, the app asks you to reload before booking.

**My Calendar** lists your classes, events and personal sessions by day. Tap a personal session to see when it is, who it is with, where, and what is paid or still to pay. From there you can tap **Pay** if you owe something, or **Cancel session**, which asks you for a reason.

Your club decides all of this, and can change it for you when Dyno cannot:

Book and cancel in the Dyno app, pay for a place when there is a charge, and understand what a waiting list means for you.

Classes and events are booked from your club's page. One to one sessions with a coach are booked from that coach's profile. Everything you have booked shows up in one place afterwards. Find a class or event Open your club's page in the Dyno app. Scroll to Upcoming Events and tap the one you want, or tap View all to see the whole schedule. On All Events you can switch between a week and a month view, and tap a day to see what is on. If your club runs at more than one venue, tap a venue name at the top to see only what is on there. To make that your usual view, tap Always start at followed by the venue name. Tapping a venue only changes what you are looking at until you do that. Book a place On the event, look at the button pinned to the bottom of the screen. Slide to book, with the price beside it. Slide it across to book. Free means there is nothing to pay. Book Now or Manage booking if you have children on your account. Tap it, tick everyone who is coming, then swipe to confirm. Unticking somebody who is already booked cancels their place. Purchase Membership means you do not currently have what this event needs. Tap it to see what the club sells. A pass can also give you access, see Buy and use a pass. Booking not open yet means the club releases places a set number of days ahead. The line underneath says when. You do not need to buy anything, just come back. Once you are booked, the button becomes Cancel Booking, and a panel confirms your place. Show my pass opens the pass you scan at the club. When there is something to pay If the event has a price for you, the payment sheet opens when you book, in your club's name. Fill in your card and confirm. You see Payment received once it goes through. The app may say it is confirming your place and that this takes a few seconds. Let it finish. If it says your place is not confirmed yet, check back shortly, and contact the club if it still has not appeared. Booking for more than one person shows you the whole bill first, on a sheet headed These places need paying for. Each place is then paid for separately, so you get one card sheet per person. Book a one to one session with a coach Open your club's page and scroll to the coaches. Tap the coach you want. Tap Book a session at the bottom. On the booking screen: If the club has set a cancellation deadline, a note at the top tells you how many hours before the start you have to cancel by. Pick a length or a session type. The price sits on the same button, so you can see what each one costs. Use the arrows to move between weeks, and tap a free time slot. Slide Slide to book across. The price is on the slider. If you have children on your account, you are asked Who is this session for? first. What happens next depends on how the coach takes payment: Nothing to pay. You see Session booked. Paid in the app. The payment sheet opens straight away. If you pay, you see Session booked. If you close the sheet, you see Session reserved and a Pay button with the amount, and your place is held rather than settled. Paid at the club. The sheet shows the amount due at the club. Take it with you. Tapping Done takes you to My Calendar. If your slot has just gone, the app tells you it was taken and clears your choice, so pick another. If the coach's prices or lengths have changed while you had the screen open, the app asks you to reload before booking. See and manage what you have booked Tap the Profile tab. Tap Calendar. My Calendar lists your classes, events and personal sessions by day. Tap a personal session to see when it is, who it is with, where, and what is paid or still to pay. From there you can tap Pay if you owe something, or Cancel session, which asks you for a reason. Book a class, event or personal session

A pass is a way to train at a club without a membership. Some are a single day, some are a block of visits, some last a set period. Your club decides what it sells, what it costs and what it gets you into.

You see a **Success** message saying your purchase is being processed and that your passes will appear shortly.

If you have children on your account, tapping **Purchase** asks **Who is this pass for?** first. Choose yourself or a child, then swipe to buy.

Choose carefully. A pass belongs to the person you pick, sits on their account and is scanned by them. Buying it onto your own account leaves your child with nothing to use. You still pay for it either way.

Tap the **Passes** tab. Your active passes are listed, with your **Identity Pass** first.

If you have children on your account, each child has their own section lower down with their active passes.

Tap any pass to open its QR code full screen. You can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from there, see [Add a pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet](/articles/wallet-passes).

You do not spend a pass by booking. A valid pass simply lets you in where a membership would.

Show your **Identity Pass** from the **Passes** tab, or from your wallet, and let the club scan it. The scanner works out what you are entitled to at that moment, so you hold up the same thing whether you are on a membership or a pass.

**This is when a pass is spent.** A pass with a set number of uses loses one use when you are scanned in, and only once per day however many times you scan. A pass that is simply time limited never counts down, it just runs to its expiry date.

A pass drops off your active list once it has expired or you have used every visit on it. For about two days after that it is still visible under **Expired/Used** at the bottom of the **Passes** tab, then it goes.

If the **Purchase** button still says **already owned** and you are sure your pass is finished, pull down on the **Passes** tab to refresh, then reopen the club page.

Dyno support cannot answer these, your club sets them:

Buy a pass from your club in the Dyno app, use it to book and get in, and see what happens when it runs out or expires.

Each pass card shows: the pass name and the club it is for Expiry, with the date it runs out how much is left, shown as something like 2/10 uses, or how many times you have used it when there is no limit If you have children on your account, each child has their own section lower down with their active passes. Tap any pass to open its QR code full screen. You can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from there, see Add a pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Using a pass to book You do not spend a pass by booking. A valid pass simply lets you in where a membership would. Open the class or event and book it as normal, see Book a class, event or personal session. If you see Purchase Membership on the bottom of an event, your pass does not cover that event. Your club can limit an event to particular passes. Using a pass at the club Show your Identity Pass from the Passes tab, or from your wallet, and let the club scan it. The scanner works out what you are entitled to at that moment, so you hold up the same thing whether you are on a membership or a pass. This is when a pass is spent. A pass with a set number of uses loses one use when you are scanned in, and only once per day however many times you scan. When a pass runs out or expires A pass drops off your active list once it has expired or you have used every visit on it. The Purchase button unlocks as soon as the old one is no longer usable. Until then the button says already owned and cannot be tapped, because you still have one you can use. If you have children on your account, the button stays available on My Membership so you can still buy one for them. Anything you have already booked with it stays booked. If the Purchase button still says already owned and you are sure your pass is finished, pull down on the Passes tab to refresh, then reopen the club page. Ask your club Dyno support cannot answer these, your club sets them: what a pass costs and how many visits it includes how long it lasts which classes and events it gets you into whether an unused or expired pass can be refunded or extended Related Join a club and pay for your membership Change the card you pay with

Buy and use a pass

If your club has a check-in screen by the door, you check yourself in by showing the QR code from the Dyno app. The same code covers your membership, your bookings and any passes you have bought.

You can also add the pass to your phone's wallet and show it from there without opening the app. See [Add a pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet](/articles/wallet-passes).

The code on screen changes every 30 seconds. A screenshot of it will not work, so open the pass when you get there.

If your club sets a time limit, you are checked out automatically after it, so you do not have to remember on the way out.

Ask a member of staff. They can type the code shown under your QR code into the screen by hand.

You do not need to check in separately for something you have booked. Your pass checks you in and marks you as attending, as long as you arrive in the window your club's screen accepts: from two hours before the start until 30 minutes after the end.

Show your pass at your club's check-in screen, and what each message on it means.

If your club has a check-in screen by the door, you check yourself in by showing the QR code from the Dyno app. The same code covers your membership, your bookings and any passes you have bought. Show your pass Open the Passes tab in the Dyno app. Your personal pass is the first card. Tap it to show the QR code. Hold the code up to the scanner, or to the camera if the screen is using one. You can also add the pass to your phone's wallet and show it from there without opening the app. See Add a pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The code on screen changes every 30 seconds. A screenshot of it will not work, so open the pass when you get there. What the screen says Welcome means you are checked in. Come back soon means you were already in, and you are now checked out. Scanning on the way out is how you check yourself out. Anything else is a refusal with the reason on screen, such as no active membership or booking, a paused membership, or the club being closed at that moment. If your club sets a time limit, you are checked out automatically after it, so you do not have to remember on the way out. If it will not scan Ask a member of staff. They can type the code shown under your QR code into the screen by hand. Booking a class or an event You do not need to check in separately for something you have booked. Your pass checks you in and marks you as attending, as long as you arrive in the window your club's screen accepts: from two hours before the start until 30 minutes after the end. If you have not booked yet, see Book a class, event or session.

Check in when you arrive

You can delete your Dyno account from the app. It is permanent and it cannot be undone, so read this first.

Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling a membership properly. It stops future payments, but nothing is refunded and any notice period or minimum term you agreed with your club is not settled by deleting. If you owe your club money, or want money back, sort that out with them first. See [Manage your membership in the app](/articles/manage-your-membership-in-the-app).

The app tells you this will permanently delete your account, cancel any active subscriptions to stop future charges, and remove all your data, and that it cannot be undone. Tap **Cancel** to back out.

You are signed out as soon as it is done, and you cannot sign back in.

Your name is replaced everywhere it appeared. Where the club used to see you, they see a deleted user.

Clubs have to keep accounting and legal records, so these are kept even after your account is gone:

These records stay attached to the deleted account, with your name removed. They are kept so your club can meet its accounting and record-keeping obligations, not so anyone can look you up.

No. There is no undo and no grace period. If you want to use Dyno again you have to create a new account, and rejoin your club as a new member. Nothing from the old account comes back.

You do not need to delete your whole account. Cancel that club's membership instead and keep the app for anywhere else you train. See [Manage your membership in the app](/articles/manage-your-membership-in-the-app).

If something goes wrong, the app says "Failed to delete account" and nothing is changed. Try again, and if it keeps failing, contact support from **Settings**, then **Contact support**.

How to delete your account, what happens to your memberships, bookings and children, and what your club keeps.

You can delete your Dyno account from the app. It is permanent and it cannot be undone, so read this first. Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling a membership properly. It stops future payments, but nothing is refunded and any notice period or minimum term you agreed with your club is not settled by deleting. If you owe your club money, or want money back, sort that out with them first. See Manage your membership in the app. Before you delete Check what you are paying for: Settings, then Memberships. Message your club if you want a refund, or if you are inside a notice period or minimum term. If you are booked into classes, tell your club. Deleting your account does not cancel your bookings for you. Delete your account Open the Profile tab and tap the menu icon at the top right, labelled Settings. Scroll to the bottom. Tap Delete account. Read the warning, then tap Delete. The app tells you this will permanently delete your account, cancel any active subscriptions to stop future charges, and remove all your data, and that it cannot be undone. Tap Cancel to back out. You are signed out as soon as it is done, and you cannot sign back in. What happens straight away Your memberships stop being billed. Every active subscription is cancelled immediately, including any held by children on your account. There is no pro-rata credit and no refund. Your saved cards go. Your payment details are deleted, so nothing can be charged to you again. Your children go with you. A child on your account has no existence without you, so their profiles are deleted at the same time and their passes are removed. What is deleted Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photo, bio and location. Your posts, comments and likes. Messages you sent, and any images you sent in chats. Who you follow and who follows you. Your passes and your check-in codes, so they will no longer scan at a kiosk. The devices you get notifications on. Your name is replaced everywhere it appeared. Where the club used to see you, they see a deleted user. What your club keeps Clubs have to keep accounting and legal records, so these are kept even after your account is gone: your membership and subscription history your bookings any waiver you signed These records stay attached to the deleted account, with your name removed. They are kept so your club can meet its accounting and record-keeping obligations, not so anyone can look you up. Can I get my account back? No. There is no undo and no grace period. If you want to use Dyno again you have to create a new account, and rejoin your club as a new member. Nothing from the old account comes back. Just want to leave one club? You do not need to delete your whole account. Cancel that club's membership instead and keep the app for anywhere else you train. See Manage your membership in the app. If the delete fails If something goes wrong, the app says "Failed to delete account" and nothing is changed. Try again, and if it keeps failing, contact support from Settings, then Contact support.

Delete your Dyno account

You join a club from the Dyno app. You pick a membership, check what it costs, and pay. Most of it takes a couple of minutes.

Did your club email you an invite? Start with [Accept your club invite](/articles/accept-club-invite). The invite fills in your details and may already have a membership waiting for you.

Some cards carry a small green badge with a percentage off, or an age label such as 5 to 10. The age label is who the membership is for, not an offer.

If you already hold that membership, the button says **Buy for a family member** instead.

The next screen is **Purchase Membership**. Work down it before you tap anything.

**Due today** of nothing does not mean the membership is free. It means your club bills on a fixed date, so you are handing over a card now and paying later. The screen tells you the date and the amount when it knows them.

Tapping **Confirm** opens a payment sheet in your club's name. Fill in your card and confirm.

Your club's page then shows **My Membership** where the **Memberships** button used to be. That is where your membership lives from now on.

Direct Debit works differently to a card, and it is slower to start.

Your first payment is requested straight away, but Direct Debit takes a few working days to go through. The app tells you to expect roughly 4 working days. **Your membership activates once that first payment clears**, not the moment you finish the form. Closing the message takes you to the **Passes** tab; your membership itself shows on your club's page under **My Membership** once it is live.

Direct Debit only works with UK bank accounts. If the app says Direct Debit is unavailable, choose **Card** if the club allows it, otherwise contact your club. See [Setting up a Direct Debit](/articles/direct-debit-setup).

Free memberships and memberships your club pays for

Tapping **Confirm** can bring up a document or a form before the payment sheet:

You cannot pay until these are done. If you are buying for a child, the app asks for the documents that apply to that child.

There is no approval step in Dyno. Nobody at the club has to let you in before you can join. What can stand between you and a membership is the list above: a waiver, a health form, or an age range you fall outside of.

Two cases do involve a wait, and neither is approval:

Nothing was taken if you closed the payment sheet. Closing it cancels the payment and leaves you exactly where you were, so you can start again whenever you are ready.

Find your club in the Dyno app, pick a membership, pay by card or Direct Debit, and see what happens next.

You join a club from the Dyno app. You pick a membership, check what it costs, and pay. Most of it takes a couple of minutes. Did your club email you an invite? Start with Accept your club invite. The invite fills in your details and may already have a membership waiting for you. Find your club Sign in to the Dyno app. If you do not have an account yet, see Download the Dyno app and sign in. Tap the Explore tab. Tap Start your search and type your club's name, or look through Nearby and Discover clubs. Tap your club to open its page. Choose a membership On your club's page, tap Memberships. You land on a Join screen with a card for each membership the club sells. Tap the information icon on a card to see the full description, what is included and every price the club offers for it. If the club bills that membership more than one way, for example monthly or yearly, tap the option you want. The price changes to match. Tap the join button on the card you want, for example Join Adult Membership. Some cards carry a small green badge with a percentage off, or an age label such as 5 to 10. Check the details, then confirm The next screen is Purchase Membership. Work down it before you tap anything. Buying this for a child? The details card lists Price, Signup fee, Trial period, Notice period, Billing cycle and Limit per user. Anything the club has not set shows as N/A. Billing Summary shows two figures: what you will pay each cycle, and Due today. Read Due today carefully, it is often not the same as the full price. See Billing dates and part periods. Got a code? Tap Add promo code, type it into Enter code and tap Apply. The figures above update. Tap Remove to take it off. See Discounts and promo codes. Under Payment method, choose Card or Direct Debit if your club offers both. If it only offers one, you will not see this choice. Tap Confirm. Due today of nothing does not mean the membership is free. It means your club bills on a fixed date, so you are handing over a card now and paying later. The screen tells you the date and the amount when it knows them. If Confirm will not move You already have this membership. Choose or add a family member to buy it for them. The person you picked is outside the membership's age range. The screen says so, and names anyone in your family it does suit. You applied a code that has not been checked yet. Tap Apply again, or Remove. Paying by card Tapping Confirm opens a payment sheet in your club's name. Fill in your card and confirm. If money is due today, you see Success and "Your membership is now active", with the date of your next payment. If nothing is due today, you see Membership set up and "Your card is saved", with the date of your first payment. Your club's page then shows My Membership where the Memberships button used to be. That is where your membership lives from now on. Paying by Direct Debit Direct Debit works differently to a card, and it is slower to start. Tap Confirm. The app opens a Direct Debit form and shows you the Direct Debit Guarantee. Fill in your UK bank account details and confirm. You see a Direct Debit set up message. Your first payment is requested straight away, but Direct Debit takes a few working days to go through. The app tells you to expect roughly 4 working days. Your membership activates once that first payment clears, not the moment you finish the form. Free memberships and memberships your club pays for A membership priced at zero. You are not asked for a card and there is no payment method to choose. Tap Confirm and it is yours. A membership your club has given you. Your club can put a membership on your account without charging you. It shows as Included by your club, and where a payment date would be it says No payment due. There is nothing for you to pay and nothing to set up. An invite that says your club is paying. Follow the invite and you will not be asked for payment. Things your club may ask for first Tapping Confirm can bring up a document or a form before the payment sheet: Waivers. Sign each one, then the app carries on where it left off. Health questionnaires, sometimes called a PAR-Q. Complete each one, then the app carries on. You cannot pay until these are done. If you are buying for a child, the app asks for the documents that apply to that child. Does your club have to approve you? There is no approval step in Dyno. Nobody at the club has to let you in before you can join. What can stand between you and a membership is the list above: a waiver, a health form, or an age range you fall outside of. If the app says your membership "will appear shortly", give it a minute, then reopen your club's page. If it still is not there, contact your club. Closing it cancels the payment and leaves you exactly where you were, so you can start again whenever you are ready.

Join a club and pay for your membership

Everything about your membership lives in the Dyno app: the price, the next payment date, the card it comes off, and the way out if you need one. This guide shows you where each of those is and exactly what happens when you tap.

For everything you pay for, across every club, including your children:

On the **My Membership** screen, under **Membership Details**, you will see:

The amount is shown underneath. If your club gave you your membership for free, you see **Included by your club** and **No payment due** instead of a price.

On the **Memberships** screen each card shows the price and a one-line status: **Renews** and a date, **Payment overdue**, **Free trial**, or **Cancels on** and a date.

Payments come off the card saved on your account, not one held by the club. To change it, go to **Settings**, then **Payments**, and see [Update your card](/articles/update-your-card).

If your club offers the same membership on more than one billing cycle, **Change Billing Cycle** appears below your membership card with a **Switch to Monthly** or **Switch to Yearly** button.

Tapping it asks you to confirm, and warns that the difference for the rest of your current cycle is worked out and charged or credited. Tap **Confirm** to go ahead, or **Cancel** to leave things as they are. You may be asked to confirm a payment. When it is done you see "Your billing cycle has been updated."

You cannot pause your own membership in the app. Pausing is something your club does for you, so message your club and ask.

While a membership is paused, **Membership paused** appears on your membership screen, telling you that you will not be charged and cannot book classes until the date it restarts, and that your place at the club is held.

A paused membership also cannot be cancelled from the app. If you want to end it rather than restart it, contact your club.

That opens a page headed **Sure you want to go?** It lists what you would be giving up, and then, under **If you cancel**, exactly what cancelling means for you:

These lines come from your club's own settings, worked out at the moment you open the page. They are not a guess.

If the app cannot reach the exact terms, it says "We couldn't load the exact terms just now, so this is a summary" and shows **Try again**. That summary has no end date and no amounts in it. Tap **Try again** and wait for the real terms before you cancel, so you know what you are agreeing to.

If the terms change while you are reading them, the app shows you the new ones and asks you to decide again rather than cancelling on the old ones.

If the membership ends on a future date, you land on a page headed **Your cancellation**, and a **Cancellation scheduled** line with the date appears on your membership card. Tap that line any time to open the page again.

The page tells you the end date, that you keep full access until then, and what happens to money: either the payment still due on a named date, "No more payments are due", or that anything due before the end will still be taken.

Because you asked for it, you can change your mind. Tap **Keep my membership**. Nothing is charged that day, your payment date stays the same, and you see "Membership kept".

If the membership ended immediately, you get a "Membership cancelled" message and that is that.

If your club, rather than you, arranged the cancellation, the page says so and there is no undo button. You get **Message {your club}** instead. Cancellations your club made cannot be reversed in the app.

Cancelling never refunds anything, even when your membership ends the same day. Whether you get money back is your club's decision, so ask them directly.

A child's membership is managed from **Settings**, then **Memberships**, under their name. Tap the three dots on their membership card to cancel it, and you get the same page, worded for them: "Sure you want to cancel?", **Keep {name}'s membership**, and the terms for their plan. See what you pay and when, take a break, and cancel: what the app tells you and what your club decides.

Everything about your membership lives in the Dyno app: the price, the next payment date, the card it comes off, and the way out if you need one. This guide shows you where each of those is and exactly what happens when you tap. Find your membership For one club: Open the club in the app. Tap My Membership. For everything you pay for, across every club, including your children: Open the Profile tab and tap the menu icon at the top right, labelled Settings. Tap Memberships. What you pay and when On the My Membership screen, under Membership Details, you will see: Billing Cycle: Monthly, Yearly, Weekly, or "Every 4 weeks" if your club bills like that. Start Date: the day your membership began. Next Payment: the date of your next payment. If there is nothing more to take, this row is not shown at all. Payment Method: the card the payment comes off, for example "Visa **** 4242". Expires: the date the membership runs to, if it has an end date. The amount is shown underneath. If your club gave you your membership for free, you see Included by your club and No payment due instead of a price. On the Memberships screen each card shows the price and a one-line status: Renews and a date, Payment overdue, Free trial, or Cancels on and a date. Manage your membership in the app

Dyno is a free app for iPhone and Android. You use it to book, pay and keep in touch with your club.

Did your club email you an invite? Follow [Accept your club invite](/articles/accept-club-invite) instead. Tapping the link in the email fills in your details for you.

Your email address stays fixed while you sign up, because it is the one you just confirmed. You can change it later in Settings.

If a club has already invited that email address, the details screen tells you which club you are joining and fills in what your club gave us.

No code? Check your spam folder. You can tap **Resend code** after 45 seconds. If the app says your code has expired, tap **Resend code** to get a new one.

If your email address already has a Dyno account, the app takes you to the sign-in screen after you enter the code, with your email filled in.

The first time you sign in on a phone, the app asks you to create a 4-digit PIN and then enter it again. You may also be offered **Enable Biometrics** so you can unlock the app with your face or fingerprint. Tap **Skip** if you would rather not.

If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder or tap **I need a new code**.

For club staff: if a member cannot find their code, ask them to check spam and to use the exact email address your club has on file for them.

Get the free Dyno app, create your account with a code sent to your email, sign in and find your club.

Dyno is a free app for iPhone and Android. You use it to book, pay and keep in touch with your club. Did your club email you an invite? Follow Accept your club invite instead. Tapping the link in the email fills in your details for you. Download the app Open the App Store on an iPhone, or Google Play on an Android phone. Search for Dyno and install it. Create an account Open the app and tap Create new account. Enter your email address and tap Continue. Check your email for a 6-digit code. Type it in and tap Verify. Check your details. Tap Edit details to add or change your name, date of birth and phone number, then tap Continue. Your phone number is optional. You must be 13 or older. On Set your login, choose a username and a password of at least 8 characters, and type the password again to confirm it. Tap Check availability. When the app says the username is available, tap Continue. On Where are you based?, type your town or city and tap Create account. Tap Continue on the welcome screen. Your email address stays fixed while you sign up, because it is the one you just confirmed. You can change it later in Settings. If a club has already invited that email address, the details screen tells you which club you are joining and fills in what your club gave us. No code? Check your spam folder. You can tap Resend code after 45 seconds. If the app says your code has expired, tap Resend code to get a new one. If your email address already has a Dyno account, the app takes you to the sign-in screen after you enter the code, with your email filled in. Sign in Open the app. Enter your email address and your password. Tap Log in. The first time you sign in on a phone, the app asks you to create a 4-digit PIN and then enter it again. You may also be offered Enable Biometrics so you can unlock the app with your face or fingerprint. Tap Skip if you would rather not. Forgot your password On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? Enter your email address. We email you a reset code. Enter the reset code and a new password of at least 8 characters. Sign in with your new password. If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder or tap I need a new code. Find your club Tap the Explore tab. Tap Start your search and look for your club, or browse Discover clubs and Nearby. Open your club's page and tap Memberships to see what the club offers. Choose a membership and follow the steps to join. For club staff: if a member cannot find their code, ask them to check spam and to use the exact email address your club has on file for them.

Download the Dyno app and sign in

A payment can fail for ordinary reasons: the card expired, you got a new one, or the money was not there on the day. Nothing bad happens straight away. Here is what the app does, and what you need to do.

You keep your membership while this is going on. Your card is retried automatically, so if the money is there next time it simply goes through and you hear nothing more.

If it is still unpaid, you get a reminder about a day later, again after three days, and a last one after seven days. Each one is an email and a notification:

Each email has an **Update card** button, and tapping the notification opens the payments screen in the app. Reminders stop as soon as the payment goes through.

If the membership is your child's, the reminders come to you, not to them.

Whether these reminders go out at all depends on your club's own Dyno plan, so do not wait for one. If you know a payment failed, fix the card.

Your saved cards are listed with the brand, the last four digits and the expiry date. Press and hold a card, or tap the three dots next to it, to **Make default** or **Remove** it.

Once a working card is saved, the outstanding payment is retried automatically. There is no "pay now" button in the app. If you would rather sort it out with a person, message your club.

For a returned Direct Debit, a new card will not help. Check with your bank that the Direct Debit mandate is still in place, then tell your club it has been sorted.

When you sign in and something cannot be charged

If a membership you pay for has no working card, the app shows a sheet after you sign in headed **Payment method needed**. It names the membership, the date the next payment is due, and why it cannot be taken:

Tap **Add a card** to fix it, or **Not now** to close it. This sheet takes nothing away from you: you keep full access while it is showing. It lists your children's memberships as well as your own, and one card covers all of them.

If the payment is never recovered, the membership ends. You get a **Membership Ended** notification. If the subscription was suspended for unpaid invoices, it says so and asks you to update your payment method to restore access.

Some clubs also use Dyno Entry on their doors and turn on a rule that stops people getting in while a payment is outstanding, after a grace period the club sets. If that is your club, you are let back in as soon as the payment goes through.

**Payment Details** shows the amount, the status, the date, what it was for, the club, and the card it was taken from.

Dyno cannot refund you, change your price, or waive a payment. Those are your club's decisions. Message your club through the app if:

What happens when a membership payment fails, what you need to do, and when you lose access.

What happens first You get a notification in the app. If you pay by card, it is titled Payment Failed and says the payment for your membership could not be processed. The first message says the payment will be retried automatically and asks you to check your details. Once there have been a few attempts it asks you to update your payment method to avoid losing access. If you pay by Direct Debit, it is titled Direct Debit returned and says your bank returned the payment. The first one says this usually means insufficient funds or a temporary problem and that it will be retried once. After that it says it cannot keep retrying, and asks you to check with your bank that the mandate is active, or to speak to your club. You keep your membership while this is going on. Your card is retried automatically, so if the money is there next time it simply goes through and you hear nothing more. The reminders If it is still unpaid, you get a reminder about a day later, again after three days, and a last one after seven days. Each one is an email and a notification: Day 1: "We couldn't take your payment" Day 3: "Your payment still hasn't gone through" Day 7: "Last reminder: update your card" Each email has an Update card button, and tapping the notification opens the payments screen in the app. Reminders stop as soon as the payment goes through. Once it has expired it becomes Card expired, asking you to add a new card to keep your membership active. This starts around a month before the expiry date. Direct Debits do not expire, so there is no warning to send. What happens if it is never paid If the payment is never recovered, the membership ends. You get a Membership Ended notification. If the subscription was suspended for unpaid invoices, it says so and asks you to update your payment method to restore access. Your payment did not go through

Your cards live in one place in the Dyno app and cover every club you belong to. Change a card here and you have changed it everywhere.

You see **Payment methods** at the top and **Recent transactions** below.

Nothing is charged when you add a card. The card shows as its brand, the last four digits and its expiry date.

The card marked **Default** is the one new payments use. A card that is already default has no **Make default** option.

Making a card default does not always move an existing membership onto it. A membership stays on the card it was set up with while that card still works. If that card has expired, has been removed, or a payment has already failed, adding a new card moves the membership onto the new one automatically.

If you need a membership moved onto a different working card right now, remove the old card, or ask your club.

Dyno will not let you remove a card that a live membership is relying on. If you try, you are told to set a different default first. Add the new card, make it the default, then remove the old one.

After you sign in you may get a full screen headed **Payment method needed**. It is telling you that something you pay for has no card that will work, before the payment fails rather than after.

Each card on that screen names the membership, whose it is, when the next payment is due, and why it cannot be taken:

One card covers every membership listed. **Not now** closes the message, but it comes back next time you sign in until there is a card that works.

This message only appears while the payment is still in the future. If a payment has already failed, see [When a payment does not go through](/articles/payment-problems).

A Direct Debit is set up with your bank when you join, not from this screen. **Add card** adds a card only.

To change the bank account a Direct Debit comes from, or to switch between card and Direct Debit on a membership you already have, contact your club. See [Setting up a Direct Debit](/articles/direct-debit-setup).

**Recent transactions** on the same screen lists your payments across every club, newest first, with the club name, what it was for, the amount and whether it completed. Tap one to see the detail. Use **Previous** and **Next** to page through.

Ask your club about anything on that list you do not recognise, or about a refund. Dyno support cannot refund a club's payment.

Add a new card in the Dyno app, choose your default, remove an old one, and fix a membership that cannot be charged.

Your cards live in one place in the Dyno app and cover every club you belong to. Change a card here and you have changed it everywhere. Open your payment settings Tap the Profile tab. Tap the menu icon at the top right to open Settings. Under Your account, tap Payments. You see Payment methods at the top and Recent transactions below. Add a card On the Payments screen, tap Add card. Fill in the card details in the payment sheet and confirm. A Success message confirms the payment method is saved, and the card appears in the list. Nothing is charged when you add a card. The card shows as its brand, the last four digits and its expiry date. Choose which card is used Tap the three dots beside the card you want, or press and hold the card. Tap Make default. The card marked Default is the one new payments use. A card that is already default has no Make default option. Making a card default does not always move an existing membership onto it. The app takes you straight to your Payments screen. Add a working card. One card covers every membership listed. Not now closes the message, but it comes back next time you sign in until there is a card that works. This message only appears while the payment is still in the future. If a payment has already failed, see When a payment does not go through. Direct Debit A Direct Debit is set up with your bank when you join, not from this screen. Add card adds a card only. To change the bank account a Direct Debit comes from, or to switch between card and Direct Debit on a membership you already have, contact your club. See Setting up a Direct Debit. Check what you have been charged Recent transactions on the same screen lists your payments across every club, newest first, with the club name, what it was for, the amount and whether it completed. Tap one to see the detail. Use Previous and Next to page through. Ask your club about anything on that list you do not recognise, or about a refund. Dyno support cannot refund a club's payment.
