Dyno takes payments through Stripe. Your club is the merchant of record on its own Stripe account: money goes from your members to your Stripe account, and Dyno never holds your funds. Dyno charges a published processing rate on each payment and no platform fee. The rate is taken from the payment, never added on top of your price. You can see your rates under **Your processing rates** in **Settings**, **Payments**.

You only need Stripe if you charge for something. A club with only free memberships and free events can run without it. Until Stripe is connected, you can build memberships, events and passes, but members cannot pay you.

Only the club owner can connect, reconnect or disconnect Stripe. Other roles see a note saying so.

If you stop part-way, the status shows **Onboarding incomplete**. Click **Resume onboarding** to pick up where you left off.

Connect a Stripe account you already have

Before you start, set your club's **Country** in **Settings**, **General**. It must match the country your Stripe account is registered in.

There is no second set of checks. Anything already in that Stripe account, such as existing subscriptions, customers and products, carries on as it is and is not brought into Dyno.

Click **Open Stripe Dashboard** to go straight to your Stripe account.

Your dashboard also shows a banner until Stripe can take payments. Its button takes you to **Settings**, **Payments**.

Once you have an account, the **Payment methods** card shows **Card payments** and **Bacs Direct Debit**, each marked **Active**, **Pending verification** or **Not enabled**. Card payments are ready once your account is connected. Direct Debit needs extra UK Bacs verification from Stripe. If Stripe needs more details first, they are listed here: complete them in your Stripe Dashboard.

**Disconnect Stripe** only appears for a Stripe account you connected yourself.

While disconnected, members cannot be charged. Reconnect the same account and everything resumes, with nothing for your members to do. If you connect a different account instead, card subscriptions move across, but Direct Debit members need to set up their mandate again.

Pending verification: Stripe is checking your details, or has paused charges or payouts. Connected: you can take payments. The status line shows Charges on · Payouts on. Disconnected: Dyno no longer has access to your Stripe account, so nothing can be charged. Click Reconnect Stripe. Click Open Stripe Dashboard to go straight to your Stripe account. If connecting fails Registered in a different country: change your club's Country or use a Stripe account from the same country, then try again. Already connected to a club: that Stripe account is in use by another club on Dyno. Linked to a different Stripe account: reconnect the account this club used before, or disconnect it first. Link had expired: start again from Settings, Payments. Next: issue a refund or handle failed payments.

Connect your Stripe account

Club owners and staff run their club from the Dyno dashboard in a web browser. Members use the Dyno mobile app instead, so if you are joining a club as a member, you do not need to do any of this.

If that email already has a Dyno account, you are asked for your password instead.

After you sign in, you see **Welcome to Dyno.** Click **Create a new club**. If you already belong to a club as a member, **Find my club** explains how to use the app instead.

If a club with a similar name is already on Dyno, you are asked whether you meant to join it. Choose **No, this is a new club** to carry on.

Type your address or postcode into **Address or postcode** and pick the match. You can skip this and add it later.

Your club is saved before you go to Stripe. If checkout is interrupted, sign in again and click **Resume** on the welcome screen.

Not ready to finish? Click **Save and finish later** at any step. Your club waits on the welcome screen with **Resume** and **Discard** buttons.

You see a screen saying your club is live. Dyno adds a sample class so you can see how bookings work. From here you can **Add your first class**, **Bring your members across**, or click **I'll look around first** to go to your dashboard.

Your dashboard shows a **Get started with Dyno** checklist. Work through it in this order:

Open **Settings** and choose **General**.

Set **Currency** to match the payout currency of your Stripe account. If you connect a Stripe account you already have, its country must also match your club's **Country**.

Create your account Go to dashboard.dyno-app.com/register. Enter your email address and continue. On Create your account, fill in First name, Last name, Username, Date of birth and Password. Your password needs at least 8 characters. Click Create account. If that email already has a Dyno account, you are asked for your password instead. Set up your club After you sign in, you see Welcome to Dyno. Click Create a new club. If you already belong to a club as a member, Find my club explains how to use the app instead. Step 1: Name your club Enter your Club name. This is the only required field. Under What do you do?, pick one or more activities. Check the line under the form. Prices default to GBP, and the timezone comes from your browser. Click Change if either is wrong. Click Continue. If a club with a similar name is already on Dyno, you are asked whether you meant to join it. Choose No, this is a new club to carry on. Step 2: Where you are Type your address or postcode into Address or postcode and pick the match. You can skip this and add it later. Step 3: How it looks Everything here is optional: Logo: click Upload logo and choose an image under 20 MB. Tagline: one line about your club. Description: what you do, who it is for, what a first session is like. Website. Step 4: Your plan Choose Monthly or Annual, then pick a plan. If you are moving from another system, choose it under Moving from another system?. Your members then come across free until your old provider stops collecting, so nobody pays twice. On the Free plan, click Create club. On a paid plan, click Continue to checkout and add a card in Stripe. Your club is saved before you go to Stripe. If checkout is interrupted, sign in again and click Resume on the welcome screen. Not ready to finish? Click Save and finish later at any step. New clubs start hidden, so members cannot find you and you cannot send invites yet. Open Settings, choose Privacy and switch on Public Club Profile. If you sell paid memberships or passes, connect Stripe first. Invite your first members. Change your club details later Open Settings and choose General. Club Information: Club Picture (JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB), Club Name, Club Tagline, Website, Club Description and Club Categories. Contact & Location: email, phone, address, Country, Timezone and Currency. Set Currency to match the payout currency of your Stripe account. If you connect a Stripe account you already have, its country must also match your club's Country.

Create your club on Dyno

They fill in their own details when they join.

Use this to set someone up properly, with a membership and any children.

A child's record is not created when you send the invite. It is only created once the parent confirms, in the app, that the child is theirs. Track this on the **Families** tab of **Members**.

Invite one person, or one family, by email with their membership ready to go.

Invite people from the dashboard and they join your club in the Dyno app. This article covers inviting one person or one family at a time. To bring over a whole list, see Import members from a CSV. Before you start Your club must be set up and its profile public. Until it is, the invite options are disabled. Turn on Public Club Profile in Settings, under Privacy. To offer a membership with the invite, create a membership plan first. Send a quick invite Use this when you only have an email address. Open Members and click Invite members. Choose Quick invite. Enter their Recipient email and click Send Invite. They fill in their own details when they join. Send a detailed invite Use this to set someone up properly, with a membership and any children. Open Members and click Invite members. Choose Detailed invite. Enter their Recipient email. Add their First name, Last name, Phone and Date of birth if you have them. Anything you fill in is less for them to type. Choose a Membership tier (optional). Without one, the invite gets them an account and joins them to your club, and they appear under No membership until you assign one or they buy one. Under Additional Configuration, choose how they pay. The options are explained below. To add a child, click Add a child. Enter their First name, Last name, Date of birth and Membership, and choose the relationship under Your member is this child's. Tick the free box for the child if their membership should be free. Click Send Invite, check the summary in Send this invite?, then click Send Invite again. Payment options Grant this membership free: the membership is active when they join, with no payment. You can move them onto paid billing later. They are moving over from a previous provider: they keep paying their old provider until their Direct Debit moves to Stripe, and Dyno collects nothing meanwhile. They show as Awaiting DD transfer. Waive pro-rata charge: for someone who has already paid for this period. They pay nothing when they join, and their first full payment lands on the plan's billing day. This only works on plans that bill on a set day of the month. A child's record is not created when you send the invite. It is only created once the parent confirms, in the app, that the child is theirs. Track this on the Families tab of Members. What happens next They get an invite email with a link to download the app and join. If they already have a Dyno account, they also get a notification in the app. You land on the Invited tab of Members. The invite stays there until they accept. Use Resend or Cancel if you need to. If you granted the membership free, it is active as soon as they join. If you offered a paid membership, they are shown the price in the app after they sign in, and pay there.
