The feed is your club's shared timeline. Staff can post from the dashboard, and members can post from the Dyno app. Use it for news and photos that do not need everyone's attention straight away.

Your post appears at the top of the feed.

Publishing a post does not send a push notification. Members see it the next time they open the feed.

Members and staff can like and comment on posts in the app. You can also like a post and add a comment from the dashboard, using the buttons under each post.

You can remove any post in your club's feed, not only your own.

This permanently removes the post, with its likes and comments. It cannot be undone. Owners, admins, managers and staff can remove posts. When someone removes another person's post, it is recorded in your club's activity.

If your club limits social features to adults, younger members cannot post. They see "This club limits posting to adult members."

A feed post waits for members to open the app. If everyone needs to know right now, send a broadcast instead. See [Send a broadcast to your members](/articles/send-a-broadcast).

Share updates and photos with your club through the feed, and remove posts that should not be there.

Click Publish. Your post appears at the top of the feed. Publishing a post does not send a push notification. Members see it the next time they open the feed. Likes and comments Members and staff can like and comment on posts in the app. You can also like a post and add a comment from the dashboard, using the buttons under each post. Remove a post You can remove any post in your club's feed, not only your own. Click the bin icon on the post. Click Delete to confirm. This permanently removes the post, with its likes and comments. Post an announcement to your club feed

Dyno gives you two ways to talk to members from the dashboard. **Chats** is for conversations. **Feed** is your club's shared timeline of posts. Both are in the sidebar under Community.

Open **Chats** to see your conversations. Each one is labelled **Club**, **Event** or **DM**, and unread messages show a count. Use **Search conversations...** to find one.

Images must be under 10MB. Click a photo in the conversation to see it full size.

In your club chat, tick **Send as broadcast (push notification to all members)** before you send. Every member gets a push notification. See [Send a broadcast to your whole club](/articles/send-a-broadcast).

If your club chat is missing from the list, click **Create club chat**.

This only hides the conversation for you. The other person still sees it. You cannot remove the club chat.

Open **Feed** to see posts from your members and staff, newest first. Click **Load more** to see older posts.

This permanently removes the post with its likes and comments. It cannot be undone. See [Post an announcement to your club feed](/articles/post-an-announcement).

Staff accounts see **Chats** by default. Whether a staff member sees **Feed** depends on the page access you give them. See [Add a staff member](/articles/add-a-staff-member).

Members have their own safety tools in the Dyno app. You do not manage these from the dashboard, but it helps to know what they do.

Message members, send photos and broadcasts, publish posts to your club feed, and understand the block, mute and report tools members have.

Dyno gives you two ways to talk to members from the dashboard. Chats is for conversations. Feed is your club's shared timeline of posts. Both are in the sidebar under Community. Chats Open Chats to see your conversations. Each one is labelled Club, Event or DM, and unread messages show a count. Use Search conversations... to find one. Start a chat with a member Open Chats and click New Chat. Search for the member. Click their name to open the conversation. Send a photo Open the conversation. Click the image button next to the message box, or drag an image onto the message box. Add a caption if you want, then send. Images must be under 10MB. Click a photo in the conversation to see it full size. Send a broadcast In your club chat, tick Send as broadcast (push notification to all members) before you send. Every member gets a push notification. See Send a broadcast to your whole club. If your club chat is missing from the list, click Create club chat. Remove a chat from your list Hover over the chat and click the bin icon. Click Delete to confirm. This only hides the conversation for you. The other person still sees it. You cannot remove the club chat. Feed Open Feed to see posts from your members and staff, newest first. Click Load more to see older posts. Publish a post Open Feed and click New post. Write your update in Message. Posts can be up to 1000 characters. Click Add photos to attach up to 5 images, each 10MB or smaller. Click Publish. Like and comment Click the heart to like a post. Click the speech bubble to open the comments, type in Write a comment… and click Post. Remove a post Click the bin icon on the post. Click Delete to confirm. This permanently removes the post with its likes and comments. It cannot be undone. See Post an announcement to your club feed. Who can use these pages Staff accounts see Chats by default. Whether a staff member sees Feed depends on the page access you give them. See Add a staff member. Block, mute and report in the app Members have their own safety tools in the Dyno app. You do not manage these from the dashboard, but it helps to know what they do. Block: from someone's profile, or from a one-to-one chat with Block User. The two people cannot message each other, see each other's profile or see each other's posts. The blocked person is not told. Members can undo this in Settings under Account privacy, then Blocked accounts. Mute: from someone's profile. The member stops seeing that person's posts. The other person is not affected. Mute Chat: silences a single conversation for that member. Report: from someone's profile, or from a one-to-one chat with Report User. The member picks a reason: Spam, Harassment or bullying, Inappropriate content, or Something else. Reports go to the Dyno team for review, not to your dashboard. Use Chats and the Feed

A kiosk turns a tablet or computer into a check-in screen. Dyno has two:

Both work with a USB barcode scanner, the device's camera or a code typed in by hand.

Click **Club Kiosk** at the bottom of the sidebar. It opens in a new tab and shows **Scan your pass**.

Members scan the QR code from the **Passes** tab of the Dyno app, or from a wallet pass. See [Add a pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet](/articles/wallet-passes). If a scan will not read:

Staff accounts can open Club Kiosk by default, unless you have set custom page access for them.

The kiosk shows a card with the person's name for a few seconds.

One pass does everything. The kiosk checks the person's membership first. If they have no membership, it looks for a booking that is open for check-in. A booked event opens for check-in two hours before it starts and closes 30 minutes after it ends.

If a member with a membership has an event booked that starts within 45 minutes, their scan also marks them as attended. If they are already in the club when an event they booked starts, Dyno marks them as attended as long as they arrived no more than 30 minutes after the start.

Open **Settings** and choose **Dyno Entry**.

A paired tablet runs the Club Kiosk with nobody logged in.

The code works once and must be used within 10 minutes. You can unpair a device from the same card. An unpaired tablet shows **This kiosk has been unpaired**.

The Club Kiosk keeps a copy of what it needs for your club, so it can still check members in and out while offline. The top bar shows how old that copy is, and each card shows **Offline · will sync**. Scans are sent to Dyno when the connection returns.

Bookings are not in the offline copy. A booking pass is refused while the kiosk is offline.

The event kiosk downloads the guest list, so it keeps working without a connection. A badge shows how many check-ins are pending, and they sync when you are back online. It tells you when a ticket is for a different event, the booking is cancelled or the guest is already checked in. If you checked in the wrong person, click **Wrong person? Undo**.

Click **Exit** in the top bar. A paired tablet has no **Exit** link. Both kiosks are web pages, so use your tablet's own guided access or kiosk lock if you need to stop people leaving the page.

Run a self-serve check-in screen at your front door, or a check-in screen for one event, with a scanner, a camera or typed codes.

A kiosk turns a tablet or computer into a check-in screen. Dyno has two: Club Kiosk for your front door. It tracks who is in the club and works out what each scan is for. Event check-in kiosk for one event. It checks guests in against that event's list. Both work with a USB barcode scanner, the device's camera or a code typed in by hand. Open the Club Kiosk Click Club Kiosk at the bottom of the sidebar. It opens in a new tab and shows Scan your pass. Members scan the QR code from the Passes tab of the Dyno app, or from a wallet pass. See Add a pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. If a scan will not read: Click Enter manually, type the code under the member's QR code and click Check in. Click Use camera to scan with the device's camera. Staff accounts can open Club Kiosk by default, unless you have set custom page access for them. What happens when someone scans The kiosk shows a card with the person's name for a few seconds. Welcome means they are checked in. Come back soon means they were already in and are now checked out. Scanning again on the way out checks a member out. A refusal shows the reason, such as No active membership or booking, Membership is paused or The club is closed right now. One pass does everything. The kiosk checks the person's membership first. If they have no membership, it looks for a booking that is open for check-in. A booked event opens for check-in two hours before it starts and closes 30 minutes after it ends. If a member with a membership has an event booked that starts within 45 minutes, their scan also marks them as attended. Choose what the kiosk checks Open Settings and choose Dyno Entry. Entry rules control what the kiosk checks before letting someone in. Staff are always let in, and nobody is ever stopped from checking out. Club auto check-out sets how long a member stays checked in before Dyno checks them out automatically. Enter a number of minutes between 5 and 1440 in Auto check-out after (minutes) and click Save check-out policy. Leave it blank to use the default of 4 hours. Pair a tablet to run on its own A paired tablet runs the Club Kiosk with nobody logged in. Open Settings and choose Dyno Link. Under Club kiosk devices, enter a New device name and click Get pairing code. On the tablet, open /check-in/pair on your Dyno dashboard address. Type the code and tap Pair kiosk. The code works once and must be used within 10 minutes. You can unpair a device from the same card. An unpaired tablet shows This kiosk has been unpaired. If the connection drops The Club Kiosk keeps a copy of what it needs for your club, so it can still check members in and out while offline. The top bar shows how old that copy is, and each card shows Offline · will sync. Scans are sent to Dyno when the connection returns. Bookings are not in the offline copy. A booking pass is refused while the kiosk is offline. Run check-in for one event Open Events and click the event. Click Launch Check-in Kiosk. It opens in a new tab and shows Scan a ticket. Guests scan the QR code from their booking. The event kiosk downloads the guest list, so it keeps working without a connection. A badge shows how many check-ins are pending, and they sync when you are back online. It tells you when a ticket is for a different event, the booking is cancelled or the guest is already checked in. If you checked in the wrong person, click Wrong person? Undo. Leaving a kiosk Click Exit in the top bar. A paired tablet has no Exit link. Both kiosks are web pages, so use your tablet's own guided access or kiosk lock if you need to stop people leaving the page.

Check members in with the kiosk

Use a broadcast for news members need to see now, such as a same-day closure or a cancelled session. There are three ways to send one.

A broadcast message sends a push notification to everyone in the chat, even people who have the app open.

The tick box clears after you send, so your next message is a normal message unless you tick it again.

Only owners, admins and managers can send a broadcast. The tick box only appears on group chats, not one-to-one conversations.

Dyno sends one email to each member at the address on file. Replies go to your club's contact email if you have set one. The window shows progress, then how many emails were sent.

For marketing emails to leads and members, use **Campaigns** in the sidebar.

Send an urgent message to members straight away, as a chat broadcast, a group broadcast or an email to all members.

Send a broadcast to your members

A waiver is a PDF your members sign in the Dyno app, such as a liability waiver or terms of participation. Waivers live under **Documents** in the dashboard, next to your forms. Dyno keeps a record of every signature and the exact version that was signed.

A waiver is only required once you attach it to a membership.

Members must sign every ticked waiver before they can buy that membership in the app.

You cannot tick a waiver that has no document uploaded, or one that is inactive.

Required waivers are checked when someone buys a membership. To ask people who are already members, send it to them.

Each person gets a push notification and a prompt to sign the next time they open the app. **Whole membership** sends once to everyone currently on that membership. It does not send to people who join later.

Open the **Recipients** tab to see who it went to and whether each person is **Outstanding** or **Completed**. Click **Revoke** to stop asking someone.

When a guardian buys a membership for a child in the app, the guardian signs the waiver for the child. The signature is recorded against the child, with the guardian as the person who signed. A confirmation email goes to the guardian.

Open the waiver. The **Signatures** tab lists the member, the name they typed, the version, when they signed and their IP address. Search by name, email or IP, or click **Export CSV** for the full history. The **Versions** tab lists every PDF you have uploaded.

You can also see what one member has signed on the **Documents** tab of their member page.

Members sign in the app by typing their full name and tapping **Sign and continue** or **Sign and finish**. They can find everything they have signed under **Settings**, then **Signed documents**.

The **Forms** tab on **Documents** holds questionnaires, such as a PAR-Q health screen. Choose **Build a form** when you click **Add document**. Use a waiver when members sign a document as written, and a form when you need to ask them questions.

Upload a PDF members must sign before they can buy a membership, send it to existing members, and track who has signed.

Find the Required Documents panel. Tick every waiver members must sign. You can tick more than one. Save the membership. Members must sign every ticked waiver before they can buy that membership in the app. You cannot tick a waiver that has no document uploaded, or one that is inactive. Send a waiver to existing members Required waivers are checked when someone buys a membership. To ask people who are already members, send it to them. Open Documents and click the waiver. Click Send to members. Choose Choose members and search for people, or Whole membership and pick a membership. Click Send document. Each person gets a push notification and a prompt to sign the next time they open the app. Whole membership sends once to everyone currently on that membership. It does not send to people who join later. Open the Recipients tab to see who it went to and whether each person is Outstanding or Completed. Click Revoke to stop asking someone. Children and guardians When a guardian buys a membership for a child in the app, the guardian signs the waiver for the child. The signature is recorded against the child, with the guardian as the person who signed. A confirmation email goes to the guardian. Replace or retire a waiver Replace document uploads a new PDF as a new version. Anyone buying a membership that requires it must sign the new version. People you sent it to show as Outstanding again until they sign the new version. Past signatures stay linked to the version that was signed. Edit changes the title and description only. Deactivate stops the waiver being required. Existing signatures are kept. Click Activate to turn it back on. Delete only works for a waiver nobody has signed. If someone has signed it, Dyno offers to deactivate it instead. Signatures Open the waiver. The Signatures tab lists the member, the name they typed, the version, when they signed and their IP address. Search by name, email or IP, or click Export CSV for the full history. The Versions tab lists every PDF you have uploaded. You can also see what one member has signed on the Documents tab of their member page. Set up waivers for your club

Members can save a Dyno pass to their phone's wallet. The wallet pass carries the same code your kiosk scans, so they can check in without opening the Dyno app.

You can add your personal pass, a membership pass or an event booking. Once you have added a pass, the button changes to **Add to wallet again**.

Adding passes to Google Wallet is not available yet, so Android phones do not show the button. Android members can show the pass from the **Passes** tab instead.

Your children's passes appear in their own section on the **Passes** tab. Open a child's pass to show it at the door or add it to your wallet.

The QR code in the app refreshes every few seconds, so a screenshot of it soon stops working. The kiosk shows **That code has expired. Open your app for a fresh one**. A wallet pass does not refresh and keeps working.

On your personal pass, tap the options button to:

The kiosk checks the member's membership or booking each time they scan. A pass stays in the member's wallet after their membership ends, but the kiosk refuses it. See [Check members in with the kiosk](/articles/kiosk-mode-check-in).

If a member sees **Wallet passes are not yet enabled. Please try again later.**, the problem is on Dyno's side, not in your club settings. They can show the pass from the app in the meantime.

How members save their pass or booking to their phone's wallet, and how it works with your check-in kiosk.

The wallet pass carries the same code your kiosk scans, so they can check in without opening the Dyno app. For members: add a pass Open the Passes tab in the Dyno app. Tap the pass you want to save. Tap Add to Apple Wallet. Confirm in the Wallet app. You can add your personal pass, a membership pass or an event booking. Once you have added a pass, the button changes to Add to wallet again. The old code stops working straight away, and you need to add the pass to your wallet again. Turn pass off. The pass is refused at every club until you turn it back on.
